Yan Cheng Xu's (Jerry) CTV lead drama "The Hospital" will be shown tonight at 8 pm, and begins to readily expose his white teeth and toothbrush. Outside the drama, Jerry is the endorser for Oral B toothbrushand oral care products. In the drama, that toothbrush gets to be seen, and starts to turn into a second leading role, with a cost of HK$50,000 paid by Oral B. As the giant star brushes his teeth, the drama group earned $200,000.
Killing two birds in one stone
Since the start of its shooting, The Hospital has been the center of focus, not merely because of its strong control, but especially because it has the biggest F4 member Jerry, now in his next scene, the scene where he wake ups and brushes his teeth. As he holds up his endorsed Oral B toothbrush and exposes his pearly white, teeth, it gave good viewer results than with his advertisements.

Jerry's endorsement fees this year have exceeded HK$15,000.000. Among these are the Mia silver jewelry promo events, also Bench body wear with $200,000 sponsorship, and some corporate promos. The drama groups took advantage of these endorsements to make money, killing two birds in one stone.
Jerry's best-seller smile is clearly seen in the first episode of The Hospital, to let the fans crave to see more. But is it really Wu Meng Da and Zhang Guo Zhu' fight for the directorship of the surgical deptartment which is the focus and Jerry's role as Dr. Su Yi Hua had been drawn in their faction war. In order to have a natural performance, Wu Meng Da used his Cantonese dialect. On of the leads Leon Dai frankly spoke, " There were many complications when we were filming the drama because we didnt understand each other" But since Jerry once filmed in HK and he learned a few of their dialect, he smiled and said, "It's fine with me. No problem"
For tonight's initial broadcast, The Hospital drama group will set up 10 giant TV outdoor projectors spread across the entire country for a synchonized telecast. Jerry fans will gather at the top of Tung plaza to watch it all together. Last week, six international fan representaives held a meeting, and agreed to mobilize 1,500 fans from different countries to support him. A fan's mother was flattred when he said "I wish you're my mama" He also kept shaking hands with the fans for 3 and 1/2 hours, and as he had finished shaking hands with the last one he proudly said," I had also shook hands for 8 hours!" On September, he would go to Japan for a fan gathering and on two locations it already had 10,000 people who signed up, truly deserving to be called the "light of Taiwan".

According to today's TW Apple Daily, the pre-order of The Hospital's photo album has started for a week in TW. With a poster of Jerry's wearing the doctor's jacket as gift, The Hospital's photo album has become the No. 1 Best Selling Chinese Book (of the week?) of the Cheng Pin Online Bookstore.

According to today's (Aug. 7) Liberty Times, close to 3000 tickets of The Hospital Charity Premiere Press Conference have been sold and more than half of Jerry's fans will be from Japan. Therefore, The Hospital's producer, Yu Xiao Wei (Director Cai's wife), will hire 8 to 9 Japanese translators with her own money. In order to thank those Japanese fans, Jerry will practice his Japanese as well.

StarJerry’s WEBSITE has been finally set up and can be accessed thru http://www.starjerry.net/.
The fans’ gathering that will take place in Taiwan on August 12, 2006, would also be the venue for the official launch of the site and the OFFICIAL FANS’ CLUB. Nine members from Jerry Yan Philippines will join the other JMs, so let’s hope that everything will go well with them. We hope to be able to provide you with news and updates during the event and once the JYP Team comes back.
In connection with this, please be advised that StarJerry is also NOW open for member registration. Attached herewith is a copy of the application form, which needs to be submitted to StarJerry together with a fee of USD40 (for fans outside TW, HK, China and Japan). Jerry Yan Philippines plans to take over the application procedure of our members, whoever is willing.
Please fill out the form (we’ll set up deadline later on) and send it to myroyalhonee@yahoo.com and (dao_mi_chelle@yahoo.com), so we could collect all the forms.
Payment details would be sent later on as well, but just be ready for the amount. USD40 is about P2000+. Other application requirements are passport size foto (most recent) and the deposit slip copy (to be sent by JYP if you will be joining the bulk applications we will send).
***Membership should be renewed ANNUALY; we will know later on if the fee would be the same. ***
- FYI: JYP thought it best to do bulk applications in order to lessen the wire fee when doing money transfer, so we will also be STRICT with the deadline.

Although it has been some time since Jerry Yan released his album, he will be singing the theme song for his latest drama White Tower. This will be his latest music work, but due to contract limitations, the song won't be included in White Tower soundtrack.
Jerry did not have any new songs for the past 2 yrs. He has recently finish recording the theme song for White Tower. However, the theme song tat he sang won't be included in White Tower soundtrack which will be released by Hua Yan records. Coz Jerry's music contract is with Sony Music.
Initially, Sony Music planned to release an F4 compilation album, and planned to include this song. But lately, plans for this compilation album has been put aside and a brand new F4 album is scheduled to be released instead.
